Getting your workplace ready for reopening

As lockdown restrictions are beginning to ease, many businesses across the UK are reopening their offices and workspaces after months of working from home.

Re-opening commercial spaces that have been left empty for months can come with huge risks, but there are steps that you can take to ensure your business is safe and ready for the return of your employees and/or the public.

Our team of certified and qualified professionals offer a comprehensive range of competitively-priced services, all under one roof.

Air-conditioning & ventilation maintenance

As we move into the warmer months, many offices and public spaces will be using their HVAC and air-conditioning units to regulate temperature control. Many of these units will have been unused for months, and risk spreading unwanted germs, disease and bacteria.

Good ventilation including efficient and well maintained air-conditioning units, are crucial to your staff’s wellbeing as they return to work and, can significantly help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and other airborne pathogens.

Our team will deliver regular maintenance and repair of your air-conditioning or HVAC units, ensuring your workforce can perform their job safely and efficiently indoors as a duty of care by employers under Approved Document F of the Building Regulations.

Building maintenance & compliance

It can be challenging to keep up with the latest changes to building regulations in your business. And as we begin to return to the workplace, it’s more important than ever to ensure you’re fulfilling your legal responsibilities, including complying within covid-19 regulations and social distancing guidelines.

Whether it is re-writing your compliance schedule, providing a building warrant of fitness inspection service, electrical safety compliance or gas safety checks, we can make sure your organisation is well prepared to welcome back staff or customers.

Legionnaires risk assessments

Keeping water supply systems safe can be daunting – especially if they’ve not been used for a long period of time.

Just think – when was the last time you turned on the tap in your work kitchen? Would you feel safe drinking the water that’s been sitting in your system for months?

Legionella pneumonia, a type of OPPP (opportunistic premise plumbing pathogen), can grow in water supply systems and cause Legionnaires disease, and so, water systems that have been stood for months require flushing and chlorinating – to mitigate these risks. We advise all businesses returning to the workplace after an extended period to undertake a Legionella assessment, where our team can assess health risks and rectify areas of concern efficiently.
